Bringing the Drama: How Much is Too Much?

  If you are like me, then you most likely can't leave the house without putting in some serious thought about what you are going to wear.  As I mentioned in one of my recent blog posts, whether going to the supermarket, or a job interview, I always dress for the occasion.  

  Twitter and Instagram have exploded recently with memes poking fun at people who may "do the most" with their outfits when accomplishing everyday tasks.  I always want to look my absolute best wherever I am, and getting dressed helps me do that.  The only problem I've encountered is that sometimes picking my outfit cuts into the amount of time I have to get to my destination...which is something I'm working on.  Regardless, the memes and jokes are amusing, and very accurate.  Kim Kardashian and Rihanna are two perfect examples of girls who just can't leave the house without serving a look. 

  One of the killers for me is the word casual.  Because casual is slightly different for everyone.  For me, casual is a pair of boots, jeans, and some sort of accent top.  For my good friend, it's a pair of Adidas slides, a trench coat, and a graphic tee.  

Like many of my favorite pieces, my denim jacket and belt are both thrifted.  My glasses and joggers are both by Pac Sun, and my absolute new favorite boots are by Asos.  

  The double denim look you see featured is the result of a "Let's go eat" text.  As a blogger and photographer I always keep my DSLR handy, and my definition of casual always prepares me for an impromptu photo shoot if the opportunity presents itself.  I threw on an acid washed oversized denim jacket, and a thick belt to add some drama and shape.  A pair of joggers and chelsea boots are always a safe go to, and my red sunnies added just the right pop of color.
