Millennial on the Move Meets Mesh on the Beach

Millennial on the Move Meets Mesh on the Beach

When it comes to vacationing, the beach is my number one travel destination.  I recently took a much needed trip to Florida's lovely Clearwater and St. Petersburg beaches and while they aren't the worlds most luxurious beaches, I definitely enjoyed myself and got an amazing tan. Geographic location is usually one of the last things on my mind as long as there is sun and sand.  When you make an effort to be stylishly dressed in all environments (tropical destinations included) you may occasionally catch some funny stares.  I mean, who comes dressed up to the beach…right?

Thrifted linen pants and mesh shirt, patterned shawl by Urban Outfitters, and my sandals were purchased from a local market.

Yours truly.  In my humble opinion, personal style should never be sacrificed.  It serves as one of the truest forms of self-expression, which is why I spent roughly two weeks running around trying to pick out outfits that would allow me to show just how much of a beach bum I aspire to be.  You can always leave it to me to mix a little bit of mesh with any summer ensemble.  While it isn't traditional, it's a great edgy way to stay cool while playing around with texture.

If you all haven't noticed, thrifted and vintage purchases play a large role in my wardrobe.  I'm usually always wearing something that's second hand, and you usually can't tell.

I'm curious to see what other fashionistas and style connoisseurs wear to the beach?  Let me know what you all think of my look and make sure to stay connected with me on instagram @toneclassic, as well as sign up below for my newsletter.
